The site was a single-template build with no dedicated pages for the communities it actually served, and no separation between roll-off, dumpster, and portable sanitation as distinct service lines. Three buyer intents collapsed onto one landing page.
What we shipped
Month one was foundation work: technical fixes, an information architecture rebuild, and a clean service taxonomy that separated the three product lines.
Months two and three were coverage. We built dedicated location pages for each community in the service area and category pages for each service line, with internal links pointing equity at the money pages.
Months four and five were where the compounding showed up. Once the new pages were indexed and the link graph was settled, rankings jumped fast.
Outcome
Traffic moved from 7 monthly organic sessions to 202, a 2,786% lift over five months. The improvements concentrated where they earn revenue: top-three placement for “rent a porta potty” and “portable toilets” terms across the priority cities, with double-digit gains on the harder competitive terms.
Tracked GA4 leads climbed from zero in month one to 25 by the end of month five, and the growth curve was still climbing when the campaign window closed.
