Approval emails lead with the website, and campaign notifications follow client assignments

Devon Bate, Founder & CEO at SEO Brothers Devon Bate · September 3, 2026

Approval requests arrive as new, named by the client's website, and land on the task. Campaign notifications reach only the team members assigned to that client. Approved plans merge into one month-by-month list.

Thursday was about who hears what, and about the email that asks for a decision.

For our partners

  1. The approval request email is rewritten. The subject leads with the campaign’s website and says the piece is ready for your approval, or back for it after feedback, and the button lands on the task page.
  2. Campaign notifications now reach only the team members assigned to that client. If nobody on your team is assigned to a client, nobody hears about it, so check assignments.
  3. On the planning page, every approved plan of one kind merges into one list sorted by month, and only plans still waiting on a decision keep their own section on top. Approving a plan approves all of it: nothing added to an approved plan later sits pending, and the Approve additions button is gone.
  4. Google connections granted without the matching permission ticked on the consent screen now read Needs permission with a Reauthorize button, instead of Connected with empty pickers.
  5. The Integrations tab names the Google account holding each linked property.
  6. A discovery for a franchise territory on a shared domain is its own prospect, and its crawl stays inside that folder.
  7. The crawl audit now flags raw template codes and placeholder copy that visitors can see.

1. The approval email

Client record names are often the legal Business Profile name where the website is the thing you know. Approve and request changes already live on the task page.

2. Notifications follow assignments

Your notification settings are grouped into Your clients and Your account, and a sheet lists which clients reach you.

Behind the scenes

  1. A new Pending Approvals page lists everything we are waiting on partners to approve, across every partner, grouped and filterable, defaulting to the partners you are assigned to. The all-partners view loads in about thirty milliseconds.
  2. The content QA reviewer no longer decides whether a draft needs the partner’s review. The platform reads the campaign’s approval policy and opens a review only where one is required; a campaign set to approve written content automatically cannot be asked.
  3. Notification email goes out with retries and pacing, so a burst of approvals across a large team arrives in full.
  4. Every discovery now records the intake exactly as submitted.
