Citations and the listings audit become one Listings page
The citations audit and the Citations page are now one Listings page, with a handling rule and an owner on every priority directory. Audits date correctly and render their map grid, and the client portal shows Reports whenever a source is connected.
Most of today went into the audit deliverable and the client portal, the two places where our work shows up in front of a client. Underneath, the platform stopped treating a website as something that only exists because a campaign does.
For our partners
- Citations and the listings audit are now one Listings page for partners who track citations, with a Citation ordering tab inside it.
- Audits read the way they should: the map grid image renders in the sheet, the audit is dated the day it ran, and the audit moves into review as soon as its findings are ready.
- The client portal shows the Reports page for any client with a connected source: analytics, tracked keywords or a Business Profile. It no longer waits on a delivered PDF to decide the page has something on it.
- Client activity feeds drop plan announcements when the plan ends, and a plan is announced once.
- The Setup checklist step for delivery settings now has a visible Mark reviewed button beside the status pill, and saving anything on the client’s Delivery page marks the step for you.
- Reassigning a task, changing a due date or status, reactivating a client and activating a prospect all save from the pages they sit on. In portal preview the client’s own delivery switches are locked, with the reason on hover, rather than appearing to change and snapping back.
1. Listings
One page answers which priority directories each location is on, what is wrong on the ones it is on, and who is fixing it. Every priority source carries a handling rule (expected, only if they have it, not applicable here) and an owner, set for the whole list in Setup & Details or per location from the row menu. A paid or members-only directory a client is not on reads as that and does not count against the score.
Found listings get a Suggest an edit view: the listed values beside the correct ones, the door into that site’s correction path, instructions you can copy for an agent or a person, and a record of the fix in the history. Owners, admins and members get the controls; viewers read.
2. The audit deliverable
The sheet’s map grid image loads directly instead of through an address Google now redirects, and regenerating an older project heals its image cell. Audits are stamped in our working day rather than UTC, so an evening run is no longer dated tomorrow in the title, the findings and every “scan run on” line. The Legend’s score range is written as text, so the sheet stops reading it as a date.
The Initial Audit tab also loses a WordPress start-of-campaign checklist that was an internal setup list and never part of the audit a client buys.
4. Plans in the activity feed
When a plan ends, its announcements leave the client’s feed, so a cancelled proposal stops reading as delivered work. Task lines are untouched, so anything that actually shipped keeps its story. A plan now stamps the feed once, and approving a plan writes one line rather than two.
Behind the scenes
The larger work was underneath. A website on the platform no longer needs an SEO campaign to exist. Everything we know about a site, its analytics and search data, its crawls, its keywords and page map, its monitoring and its audits, used to hang off the campaign, so a site with no campaign could hold none of its own facts. Those facts now belong to the website, and the pages, the writers and the two services behind them read it that way. Before each step we checked on live data that the new reads returned exactly the rows the old ones did, then moved one group of pages at a time.
The other thread was accuracy in the agent that reads inbound email and proposes to-dos. It used to read a message line by line, so a single question asked three ways became three to-dos and a sign-off became a fourth. It reads the message whole now, cuts the closing and signature first, and files only what the message puts on someone’s plate: one question is one to-do however many sentences ask it, and an item it cannot read a clear outcome for is dropped rather than guessed. Each proposed item quotes the words it came from.
