Communications settings and a Start Here page for new partners

Devon Bate, Founder & CEO at SEO Brothers Devon Bate · September 11, 2026

Settings gained a Communications tab and partners without a plan land on Start Here. Staff got a record of every edit the team makes to agent work, and the one-off SEO audit became a project on the platform.

A Friday with one long-running build landing in the evening and a cluster of smaller staff tools through the day.

For our partners

  1. Settings has a Communications tab beside Notifications, for what the platform sends you outside of campaign activity. The Notifications tab now lists campaign and account events only.
  2. Partners who have not started a plan have a Start Here page: a setup checklist with a short video for each step, and the people on your account.
  3. A new agency can create its own workspace from a form on our website and sign in with a one-time link.

1. Communications

It covers product updates, service notices, onboarding emails and our newsletters, each with its own preference.

Behind the scenes

  1. Staff have a new page listing every agent task a person edited, left feedback on, or cancelled while it was held, with the before and after of each edit and the notes that went with it.
  2. The one-off SEO audit we have been running by hand for one partner’s clients is now a project on the platform.
  3. We wrote down what “tested” means before a change ships: a separate copy of the app, an automated check of the code, a throwaway user and client, and a real browser journey as that user. Until today it lived in one person’s head.

1. The review record

Work released without a change is not a row, and a cancel with nothing said is not a row either, which cut the table to the rows worth reading. Each row can take notes and be marked actioned with a takeaway, so what we learn from one review is kept where the next reviewer sees it.

2. The audit as a project

An agent does the first pass on the client’s campaign without touching it, a strategist reviews the findings tab by tab, and the deliverable spreadsheet is generated from one master template. Each audit starts from the client’s own campaign rather than from a copy of the last one.
